• What is CharmLive.com and how are we different?
CharmLive.com is a live streaming-based site that allows members to connect each other via live broadcasting and real-time interaction.
Charmlive has unique live products, such as shows, One-on-One live broadcasts, etc. We also provide a series of ways to establish connections between members and broadcasters, such as through chat, mail systems, etc. On CharmLive, you can discover and meet people sharing the same interests and imaginations in a more vivid way, or even establish exciting relationships.
• What is the Live Channel and how much does it cost?
CharmLive provides different kinds of broadcasts and a variety of interactive functions:
1. Public Broadcast - 0.2 credits/min to view the public broadcast; extra credits may apply when sending virtual gifts during the broadcast.
2. Show Calendar - 0.2 credits/min to view. Buying tickets early can get you 20% off.
3. One-on-One Broadcast - 0.5 credits/min to view; extra 0.2 credits/min for two-way video; extra credits may apply when sending virtual gifts during the broadcast.
4. Greeting Mail - free to read the broadcaster introduces herself by sending an intention letter, which contains text, photos or videos, providing a more convenient and direct channel for you to start the connection.
5. Mail - 0.8 credits (or 1 post stamp) / mail sent/read You can communicate with broadcasters through mail, express your feelings and add photos to show yourself more fully.
6. Chat - text - 0.5 credits (or 5 Chat Min)/5 min; Voice messages - 0.3 credits each; extra credits may apply when sending Premium Stickers; Photo - 1.5 credits each to send or view; Video - 2.5 credits each to view. Personal contact info, obscene, offensive, or threatening content prohibited.
There are also other add-on services to the above services which our members can choose from to enjoy and have fun in communication. Prices are published separately.
• Are there any rules or restrictions when sending an instant One-on-One broadcast invitation?
Just go to a broadcaster’s profile and click on “Invite One-on-One” to send an instant private broadcast invitation when the broadcaster is online. The broadcast begins once she accepts the invitation.
• Are there any rules or restrictions when booking a One-on-One broadcast?
You can request a One-on-One broadcast booking 3 days in advance at the earliest. A pre-payment for the first 5 minutes of the broadcast will be deducted as deposit for the booking. If the broadcaster confirms your request but does not show up at the scheduled period, your deposit will be fully refunded. If you do not show up, your deposit will not be returned. If you cancel a booking request before it is confirmed by the broadcaster, your deposit will be fully refunded.
• Will I get notified when a One-on-One broadcast I’ve scheduled is about to start? How do I start the broadcast?
You will be sent a notification 1 minute before the scheduled broadcast. If you sign in within 3 minutes after the notification is sent, you will still receive the notification. If you sign in 3 minutes after, there will be no notification.
Click on “Invite One-on-One Broadcast Now” within 3 minutes after receiving the notification to start the broadcast. If you do not start the broadcast within 3 minutes, you will be considered not to have shown up.
• How do I enjoy the service with trial vouchers?
a. What is trial vouchers?
Vouchers are free gifts allowing members to watch the first few minutes of a paid broadcast for free. The duration and expiry date of the voucher, the broadcasters it can be used on (valid on all broadcasters or only certain broadcasters etc.), and type of broadcasts you can watch are generally clearly stated at the time of issue.
b. How do I apply the trial vouchers on watching broadcasts?
When you start watching a broadcast, if you have a voucher which meets the broadcast criteria, it will be detected by our system automatically and applied to the broadcast. There are several ways to start the broadcast as below:
- In the broadcaster list – your watched list or your following list – click the “View Now” button if the broadcaster is conducting a public live broadcast. Or click on the “Invite One-on-one” button to initiate a One-on-One live broadcast.
- In your voucher list, click the voucher, then click on the “View Now” or “Invite One-on-One” button according to the broadcaster’s status and your voucher settings.
c. How do I know whether my voucher has been applied to the broadcast or not?
If your voucher has been successfully applied to the broadcast, you will see the following message at the top of the stage area: “Voucher has been applied. The first XX minutes of broadcast is free.”
• What is the difference between Greeting Mail and Mail?
Greeting Mail is a type of mail sent from broadcasters mainly used to introduce themselves. When receiving a Greeting Mail from a broadcaster you're interested in, you can communicate with her further by sending Mail. You can also click on "Compose" on the "Mail" page to write to your favorite broadcasters actively. Reading Greeting Mail is free, while reading or writing Mail costs 0.8 credits each.
• What are Credits on CharmLive.com?
Credits allow your to enjoy a range of paid services, such as Public Broadcast, One-On-One Broadcast, Chat and Mail.
We also provide preferential packages like Chat Min and Post Stamps, which makes you save more on Chat and Mail service.
You can use your credit or debit card to purchase Credits, Chat Min or Post Stamps. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Please notice Credits, Chat Min and Post Stamps are valid for 180 days from the date of purchase, after which they will carry no value and cannot be reinstated.
